Dallas County Early Vote Tracker

Terms of Use

Effective October 19, 2026 · Operated by Cinder and Crown LLC

The short version

1Agreement

These Terms of Use apply to the Dallas County Early Vote Tracker at https://dallasearlyvote.com (the “site”), owned and operated by Cinder and Crown LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“we,” “us”). By using the site you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2About the site

The site is an independent analysis project of Cinder and Crown LLC. It is independently produced and paid for by Cinder and Crown LLC, which owns the site and its models. It is not a product of any campaign. Use of the site is non-commercial: it is free to view, with no ads, no sales and no subscriptions. Voter data is never sold, rented, or used for commercial purposes.

It is not affiliated with, run by, or endorsed by the Dallas County Elections Department, Dallas County, the Texas Secretary of State, or any government agency. It uses their public information but doesn't speak for them.

3Forecasts are estimates, not results

4Check official sources before you vote

Don't rely on this site for decisions about voting. For where, when and how to vote, your registration, wait times and official results, use dallascountyvotes.org and votetexas.gov.

5What the transparency checks mean

The Transparency panel runs automated consistency checks that compare official public reports with each other, such as whether two reports of the same count agree and whether files have posted on time.

A status like “Needs review” or “Pending” means the reports don't line up yet, usually because of reporting schedules. These checks are not allegations, accusations or findings against any voter, election worker, official or office, and shouldn't be presented that way.

6Ownership and trade secrets

Cinder and Crown LLC owns the site and everything we created for it, including its text, graphics, design, code, models, model outputs and compilations. The model's methodology, data, sources and assumptions are confidential trade secrets of Cinder and Crown LLC. Nothing on the site grants you any license to them.

Official public records belong to their publishers. We don't claim ownership of government data, only of our own work built on it. “Cinder & Crown Creative” and its logo are our brand names.

7What you may and may not do

You may: view the site for personal, non-commercial use; share links; and share screenshots or short excerpts with credit, for example: “Source: Dallas County Early Vote Tracker, Cinder & Crown Creative.” Nothing here limits rights you have under law, such as fair use.

You may not:

9No warranties

The site and everything on it is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the site will be available, error-free or up to date.

10Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Cinder and Crown LLC and its members, managers, employees and contractors won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of or reliance on the site. Because the site is free, our total liability for any claim related to it is limited to $0, or the lowest amount the law permits.

11Indemnity

If you misuse the site or break these terms, you agree to cover the claims, losses and reasonable legal costs that Cinder and Crown LLC faces because of it.

12Changes and availability

We may change, pause or remove the site or any part of it, and may update these terms, at any time. The effective date at the top will change when we update them. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute related to the site will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you agree to those courts' jurisdiction.

14General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about the site. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't given it up.
